LADIES BASKETBALL TEAM

The Butler Bulldogs Ladies Basketball Team claimed the Bojangles Shootout National Ladies Championship on New Year’s Eve.  Head Coach Stephanie Butler led her group of basketball players through a very tough 8 team bracket to claim the title.   East Carolina signee Celeste Stewart claimed the Most Valuable Player Award with her steady play over the course of three days.

The Bulldogs now turn their attention the Southwestern 4A Conference race.  With a strong effort the next six weeks, the Bulldogs should be ready to contend for a state title.

Team Members include; Celeste Stewart, Morgan Geisler, Cierra Burdick, Arielle Ratchford, Mayhana Dunovant, Lauren Coleman, Ashlyn Diggs, Clair Watkins, Kenya Blandon, Jaquazha Barrino, Jaquaria Forney.   The coaching staff includes, Stephanie Butler, Jennifer McVicker, Tony Butler and Mark Sanders.
