HARRISON RAZNICK FINDS A SPORT TO CALL HIS OWN
Growing up, Harrison Raznick enjoyed playing sports but never seemed to be able to find the sport that fit him best. One day he decided to give lacrosse a try and the rest his history. The fast growing sport fit the 16 year old son of Steve and Sheri Raznick like a glove! Now a junior at Ardrey Kell High School, Harrison has grown into a leadership role for the Knights lacrosse team.(complete story)
PETE WESSELMAN FINDS GREAT SUCCESS ON THE LACROSSE AND FOOTBALL FIELDS
Providence High School senior Pete Wesselman has found success in two sports for the Panthers. The son of Bob and Barbara Wesselman has developed into one of the top lacrosse goalies in the state and also starts for the Panthers football team. A recent knee injury on the football field has placed Pete on the sidelines, but the rugged offensive lineman has vowed to return later this Fall.(complete story)

KRISTEN BOWMAN HAS HER SIGHTS SET ON A RETURN TO THE LACROSSE FIELD
In a split second last March, Kristen Bowman’s life was turned upside down. The energetic 17 year old Ardrey Kell High School student tripped over an opponent’s planted lacrosse stick and dislocated her right knee. The pain remained hidden for a few moments and Kristen climbed back to her feet to score a goal for the Knights.(complete story)

A NEW SEASON WITH A NEW REPUTATION

LAUREN LEFEBER HAS NEVER BEEN AFRAID OF HARD WORK
“Work hard and it pays off.” Those were the first six words Lauren Lefeber shared with us as we sat down at Velocity Sports Performance for an interview. The Charlotte Catholic Junior is one of the top lacrosse players in the South Charlotte area and that didn’t come by accident. It came with hard work and dedication to her sport. Bridget is sixteen years old and a rising junior at Charlotte Catholic High School. She is the daughter of Jim and Patty Walsh. The Wildcats are down 3-0 against Country Day, time keeps running out in regulation; One goal, no wait! Two goals scored by Connor Kennedy to trim off the lead held by Country Day. Trailing by one, Connor passes it to his fellow teammate, one more goal for the Wildcats to tie it up! The game goes to overtime. The players’ hearts are pumping faster than ever; the crowds are up on their feet roaring for their team to win. Who will take it home? As time is running out in overtime, Connor Kennedy whips it around to another teammate.... Goal! The game’s over, the Wildcats win the game! (complete story)

playing through adversity is a remarkable one. Jack excels at
lacrosse despite a congenital condition since birth. He suffers
from Fibular
Hemimelia, this means that the fibula, one of the two bones
between the knee
and ankle, has a problem. The fibula is important because it is
the bone

CHARLOTTE CATHOLIC LADIES LACROSSE CLOSES STRONG SEASON, ENTERS PLAYOFFS ON HIGH NOTE
On April 24, minutes after inarguably the biggest win in Charlotte Catholic’s 2-year old girls lacrosse program, the players raced to meet their goalie at midfield for a quick celebration amid applause from their parents and fans. After all, the Cougars had just defeated a highly regarded and very experienced Myers Park team, 14-9, at Gus Purcell Stadium on the Mustang’s Senior Day. The win not only improved Catholic’s overall record to 16-2 and propelled them to a #4 ranking in North Carolina (according to LaxPower.com) but, it represented its first win over one of the established girls lacrosse programs in Charlotte. The Providence Panthers entered the NCHSLA State play-offs with a strong regular season record. A 17-3 mark guaranteed a berth in the playoffs. The right combination of experience and youth continue to be crucial to the Panthers success. (complete story)
HOLY TRINITY CATHOLIC COMPLETES SUCCESSFUL LACROSSE
SEASON
The Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School team completed a
successful season of lacrosse recently. Led by head
coach Ken Dorcy, the Bulldogs finished 10-6, after starting
the season with a 1-4 record. Dorcy and assistant coach Eddie
Levins managed to find significant playing time for all 38
players in each game, a tough task for any lacrosse coach.
