Charlotte Christian pitcher Luke Bard was named the Charlotte Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA) baseball player of the year. Bard, a senior righthander, has led the Knights (25-3) to the conference title.  In January, Luke was honored as one of the four finalist for the Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Player of the Year Award.   He has signed to play baseball with Georgia Tech next season.
